Michelle Monnat20 days agoI initially found MedcoVet via a Google search when I was looking for a therapeutic ultrasound device. I didn’t realize that those are very specialized devices, but then I clicked on the link and was sold that I could have a professional pet laser device in the comfort of my home. I knew I wanted to purchase the device and the ability to have a free consultation with MedcoVet staff further confirmed that my purchase would be a good one. I met with Chris and she was absolutely wonderful, from her personality to knowledge of senior dogs and the device: walking me through how to use the device, answering questions throughout our session, setting up treatment plans for both of my dogs and she even gave me her contact information to reach out if I had questions afterwards. She even stayed longer than the half hour allotted for our consultation. Request her if you can, you’ll have a great session too! The company also has speedy shipping, so you can get to work on your pet and give him/her the relief needed very soon after ordering. I use it on my 12-year-old female dog every day to help strengthen her back legs and when I don’t use it I notice a difference; therefore, it’s become a daily routine for us. My holistic vet who comes to give her acupuncture also uses it with her clients and raves about it too! I’m so glad I decided to purchase this device. What I didn’t realize before purchasing the Luma is that human devices don’t work on pets because they can’t penetrate light through their fur. LucyTorn ACL“I got Lucy in my mid-twenties, and it’s been me and here side-by-side for almost 10 years now. She has always loved to be active and fun around. She tore her ACL a few months ago, and unfortunately, due to her age and overall hip condition, the doctor said she was not a good candidate for surgery. They recommended red light therapy as an alternative. After a few weeks of loading her in the car (not an easy task for a 105-pound dog with a torn leg), taking her to the vet (where she gets pretty stressed,) and sometimes having to wait for a while for treatment, I was beginning to lose hope that she would have successful healing. I was introduced to Medcovet, where Chris was unbelievably thoughtful and helpful. She took time to truly understand Lucy’s condition and make recommendations specific to her. She recommended the Luma device because it would allow me to do the treatments at home. It was easy to set up and use. I saw some subtle changes after the first week of daily treatments. After week six, the changes in her fluidity and quality of movements were so apparent that neighbors commented on her gait. I saw my girl going from hesitant to take stairs and always leading with the right hind leg to happily sprinting them up, taking reciprocal steps. And what’s amazing: She LOVES the treatments!!!!
