WALT Proposed Guidelines

World Assocation of Laser Therapy (WALT) proposed treatment guidelines for the most common Veterinary Conditions

Guidelines for common Veterinary Conditions based on Research and Clinical Practice

In 2019, WALT convened the top minds on veterinary photobiomodulation, including veterinarians, device manufacturers and clinical researchers.  The charts below are the proposed guidelines for different types for devices, designed to ensure the highest chance of positive treatment outcomes.

The guidelines have separate suggestions for scanning devices (which must be moved in order to avoid burning the fur), stationary devices (which can be kept in place) and super pulsed devices (which offer quick bursts of very high power for very short durations.
