What conditions work best for the Luma
Inflammation is at the root of many painful conditions in pets. Light therapy helps reduce inflammation, support healing, and relieve pain, but not all conditions have the same level of clinical research.
The conditions below have strong scientific support for light therapy.
Unless you are clinically trained, do not provide a diagnosis for the patient.

Arthritis (OA/DJD) & Joint Pain
One of the most researched applications of light therapy — reduces inflammation, slows joint degeneration, and improves mobility.
Wounds & Surgical Recovery
Proven to accelerate healing, reduce scarring, and improve recovery from surgical and non-healing wounds.
Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) & Spine Conditions
Backed by research for pain relief and neurological recovery — helps pets regain mobility after spinal injuries.
Hip & Elbow Dysplasia
Helps reduce pain and stiffness in pets with joint abnormalities.
Soft Tissue Injuries & Muscle Strains
Supports faster recovery from sprains, strains, and overuse injuries.
Otitis (Ear Inflammation & Infections)
Preliminary research suggests light therapy may help reduce inflammation and discomfort in chronic ear issues.
